On May 17 & 18, Machine Solutions & Robotic Solutions held the 2023 Automation Review Event. This is an annual event. Over 150 representatives from local manufacturers, some traveling several hours, attended the event. They got to speak with sales representatives and service technicians from Biesse, Kuka, CMA, MiR, Guffey Systems, Striebig, Vecoplan, Dust Technology, Prime Heat, Lockdowel, Schmalz and many more.
We also had classroom sessions by Scott Brandenburg, Midwest Regional Manager of Biesse America. He discussed Case studies on storage & retrieval systems for sheet good storage & processing. Thomas May, Global VP of Lockdowel, Inc. discussed Hidden Fasteners 2.0. We had a one day only program overview of the Indiana Manufacturing Readiness Grants (MRG) provided by Indiana Economic Development Corporation and administered by Conexus Indiana and the Next Level Manufacturing Institute. This was presented by Ryan Henderson, Director of Innovation & Digital Transformation, Conexus Indiana. He discussed that up to $200,000 per company is available to Indiana manufacturers. They must be willing to make capital investments to integrate smart technologies and processes that improve capacity, productivity and competitiveness. A delicious lunch was provided to all guests on both days of the event, catered by Schnitzelbank Catering from Jasper, Indiana. This ensured everyone had the chance to relax, network, and enjoy great food while discussing the day’s learning and discoveries.
