This arched rail took 2 minutes to shape and sand by hand, now takes 20 seconds on the new Voorwood! All parts ran on the new A517 CNC Shape and Sand machine take only 25-33% of the time compared to doing it with shapers and hand sanding, and the quality that we require is more consistent. Now we have plenty of capacity to take on new business we have been turning away for years. This is my first CNC machine so it took me a while to get used to the software, but after a couple months everything seems simple to me.

We were running three older saws and still not keeping up with our machine centers, so we purchased the Selco Rear Load “Twin Pusher” saw at the IWF Show in 2014.  The saw immediately flooded our operation with cut parts which forced us to improve the flow of product in the shop and remove two of our old saws.  We were able to significantly improve our accuracies and part squareness as well.  Most of our cutting can now be completed in less than 8 hours while the rest of the shop catches up.
